Mouthwatering guacamole is a creamy blend of ripe avocados, fresh lime juice, and a hint of spice. Each bite offers a perfect balance of tangy citrus and smooth avocado, with just enough seasoning to make the flavors pop. It’s the perfect dip or topping for any occasion, bringing a taste of freshness and satisfaction to your table.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 large Haas Avocados
  • 2 Fresh Limes (see note #1)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Cut the avocados in half lengthwise, then twist the halves in opposite directions to separate (see the video above).  Remove the pit, then scoop the pulp out of the shell and place the pulp into a large mixing bowl.  Repeat for all of the avocados.
  2. Mash the avocados to your desired consistency using a fork or a potato masher. The secret to good guacamole is to leave small chunks of avocado so don’t puree or overly mash them.
  3. Add the juice of one lime, the ground cumin, cayenne pepper, and Kosher salt.
  4. Stir to combine the ingredients.
  5. Serve immediately

Notes

  1. The recipe only calls for the juice of one lime.  The juice of the second lime is to help prevent browning if you store leftovers.  If you do not intend to store leftovers you won’t need the second lime.
